The Corey Wallace DUBtet
CV Dashiell III, Allyn Johnson, Max Murray, and Brent Birckhead, after a performance at An Die Musik in Baltimore, MD.
With one of my favorite musician/saxophonists Joel Frahm before performing at An Die Musik in Baltimore, MD together, along with drummer Matt Wilson and the Brad Linde Extended Ensemble!
Circa 2012, at the Williamsburg Music Center, in between ideas...
With the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra at the historic Bohemian Caverns in Washington DC, taking a moment to express my innermost thoughts.
Filth Horns
Circa 2013; here, with great friends and brothers, JS Williams/trumpet and Brent Birckhead/alto saxophone at the Smithsonian American Art Museum...I was granted the opportunity to curate a concert, and commissioned to compose and arrange the music of trombonist Grachan Moncur III!
In the studio with Brent Birckhead/alto sax and Marlon Winder/trumpet for Antone "Chooky" Caldwell's album, "Subject to Change".
The Warm Up
One of the best ways to warm up is with the pixie and plunger mute! Make thang talk! Here, warming up for a run-through in Tel Aviv, Israel; Ain't Misbehavin' Tour 2012.
Time to Calm Down
I stole a couple of moments to process everything in Tel Aviv, Israel. From the plane to the hotel to the venue for dress rehearsal that was cut short (which meant I'd have to sight-read the show LIVE)... I needed a moment to collect my thoughts and prepare myself...I ended up playing a few tunes I wrote a long time ago that I thought I had forgotten! Don't let the picture fool you, I AM NOT a pianist!
More studio time! Listening to instructions/a rundown of the chart; READY TO PLAY!
Never a dull moment...and when there is, you take a selfie!
Onstage at the 2014 Capital Jazz Fest in DC with the Marcus Johnson Urban Jam Band! #soundcheck

Look who I ran into! The legend, bassist Marcus Miller! I had to tell him how much I respected and loved his music/contributions!
CLEARLY, I have no problems finding time to take selfies!
One of my favorite types of bands is the sextet, which, for me, stems from all the Art Blakey records I used to listen to growing up! Here, I'm with tenor saxophonist Benny Russell alto saxophonist Terry Koger on the front line.
My man bassist Nate Jones (Trey Songz, among many others) at Red Rooster in Harlem! He's taught me a bunch in conversations and the time we've spent on the bandstand, probably more than he realizes, given the short time we've known each other! Looking forward to more lessons, hangs, laughs, and music!
Somebody Messed Up...
They gave me the microphone!

Kings
On my 27th birthday with my first (and probably most important) teacher, my best friend, my father, Alvin Wallace, known to many as King Wally. Without him (and my mom, as well as my sister, the rest of my family, friends, successes, failures, etc.), no me. Thank you, Daddyo. Life and music hasn't been the same without you. Rest in Power.
Warming up for the DC Jazz Festival with the Ernest Khabeer Dawkins, celebrating the AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians).
Called for a outdoor gig in Washington, DC, then it rained HEAVY...the gig went on as scheduled.
OH....I forgot my mouthpiece in my other case in Brooklyn, NY!! I lightly buzzed through that gig...
Classic Man.
